Welcome to Hillside Hideaway Retreat
Immerse yourself in a weekend of relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of life. Bring your projects and get ready to get so much done! The Hillside Hideaway Retreat is a place to gather with your friends (near and far), make memories, laugh, and be creative! The retreat house is designed with all crafters in mind, including quilters, scrapbookers, knitters, needlecrafters, etc.
The Hillside Hideaway Retreat is located in DuBois, PA. Located in the countryside, but town is only a few short miles away. There is easy access to local restaurants and shopping centers in just minutes. The location is easily accessible from Interstate 80.
Under Construction
Hillside Hideaway Retreat is currently under construction! We are remodeling an entire building to create a home away from home that can accommodate up to 12 guests. The remodeling has been moving right along smoothly!
We hope to be open by July 2026! We will be having an open house once we are ready. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer!

Unload with Ease!
With convenience in mind, our craft room is easily accessible, just steps away from our parking area, and all on one level, eliminating the hassle of stairs. Unload your supplies and wheel them right into the main level of the house, no carrying your heavy machines/supplies up or down stairs!

There is also an unloading zone for the second level of the house for easy unloading of your bedroom luggage.

The parking lot has many parking spots close to the building for your convenience.
The Craft Room
The craft room provided allows each guest to have their own table, complete with an ergonomic rolling office chair. There are two ironing stations and four cutting stations. On the walls surrounding this area are large design walls for any of the guests to use. There are many comfy chairs in the living room where you could relax and do handwork while still being close to the rest of your group. There are plenty of outlets for all your sewing machines, irons, Cricut machines, etc. There is also a large TV in the living room, which would be great to watch YouTube or online classes together if you wanted to create your own class.
Sleeping Quarters
The retreat house has five bedrooms total. The bedroom on the main level can accommodate 4 guests, each in a twin-size bed. The four bedrooms on the second level can each accommodate two guests, each in twin-size beds. The bedrooms also have a nightstand and luggage rack for each guest. The bedrooms all have blackout shades to help those who need a dark room to sleep. When you arrive, the beds will be all made with clean sheets and blankets. There are extra blankets provided as well!
Kitchen and Dining
Enjoy our fully equipped kitchen and dining room where you'll find two refrigerators with enough space for all your food, two microwaves, baking dishes, pots and pans, crock pots, utensils, seating for your entire group, and coffee area. Bring your own meals to prepare or take advantage of the numerous food establishments nearby. There are a wide selection of restaurant options, including chain restaurants, that are within minutes of the Hillside Hideaway Retreat.
We happily offer a list in a binder at the retreat house, including a list of “Our Favs”, to assist you in choosing.
Bathrooms
There are three full bathrooms as well as a bathroom with three stalls and large vanity. The full bathroom on the main level is fully accessible with a standup shower with seat, a tall toilet with grab bars, and a large vanity you can roll up to. The bathroom with the stalls is also on the main level, steps away from the craft room area. There are two full bathrooms on the second level. All the bathrooms are fully stocked with all the linens (towels, wash cloths & hand towels), soap, toilet paper, and extra cleaning supplies, if needed.
Patio
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the covered patio! Or take some hand work outside and enjoy some fresh air.
