House Rules

The Renter and all the other guests of the Property during the Rental Period agree to observe the following rules:

  • The Renter and guests have access to the retreat area of the house only. Guests will not enter or attempt to enter the utility room or outdoor shed on the site without express permission from the Management.

  • Renter and all guests must keep noise to a minimum as not to disturb the occupants of neighboring properties – especially during nighttime hours (11 pm to 8 am), and upon arrival and departure.

  • The Renter and all guests agree to not use the property to host any parties, large gatherings, or events that will disturb the neighboring properties; or that will violate the maximum occupancy limits.

  • Guests must be at least 18 years of age. No children/babies due to the use of sharp objects and the comfort of other guests. No day-campers or additional guests other than the 12 people under the signed rental agreement.

  • As the Renter I am responsible for any person or persons who are upon or occupying the Property.

  • The Property will remain a smoke-free & vape-free facility. Smoking and vaping are ONLY permitted outside the house and away from the covered porch and back deck. Debris (cigarette butts, matches, and packaging) will be disposed of properly and not thrown on property grounds.

  • No pets or animals are allowed to be kept in or about the Property.

  • The Renter understands that all parking shall be done in the designated parking area on the same side of the house as the covered porch. The unloading zone by the covered porch and by the back deck shall be used for unloading only. No parking in these areas to leave them open for emergency personnel.

  • Any time the Renter and guests leave the retreat house, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed/locked to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage.

  • The Renter and guests will take care to maintain the operation of the grinder pump sewage system onsite. Nothing other than human waste and toilet paper will be flushed down the toilets. Guests will not flush sanitary products, paper towels, wet wipes or similar items.

 

  • The group will not keep any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable or explosive character that might unreasonably increase danger or fire on the Property. I agree there will be no burning of candles on the property.

  • The Renter and group will comply with standards of health, sanitation, fire, housing and safety as required by law.

  • The Renter and group will not engage in any illegal trade or activity on or about the Property. I agree to use the wireless Internet service provided at the Property for lawful activities only.

  • All guests understand that the internet will be provided as a convenience to the guests, and such access is not integral to this agreement. No refund or discount will be given in case of the internet not functioning.

  • All guests will ensure that NO guest will dye fabric inside or outside the Property.

  • All guests will ensure that if water is put into the retreat irons, they will be emptied daily and before departure.

  • All guests agree that if the backup sewing machine is used it will be used as if it were our own and if any damage is done, the Renter takes full responsibility for repairs.

  • Please do not spray baste anything inside the rental or on the patio or deck. It is permitted in the parking lot only. A $400 fine will be charged to the payment method on file for any damages caused by spray baste.

  • All guests will ensure the design walls will be used rather than taping or pinning paper or fabric items to the walls.

 

  • All guests will ensure that the checkout procedures and duties as found in the welcome packet are followed.

 

  • In the case of breakage or damages to the Property, the Renter shall inform the Property Manager by phone or email.

  • All guests agree to leave the Property in the same condition it was found at the beginning of the stay. They agree if the Property is left in a state that requires additional maintenance and repair, they will pay for the cost to return the Property to the condition it was found prior to our stay.

  • All guests agree to not tamper with locks, security systems, fire alarms, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and the like

 

  • Quilting/Scrapbooking/Crafting can involve the use of sharp cutting systems and tools. The Property Manager cannot be held responsible for any injury. It is each group’s responsibility to provide medical and accident insurance for its participants. There is a first aid kit in the closet under the stairs.
